About Me

I’m Evelyn. I live in Chicago, IL, where I teach 3rd grade. In my free time I sometimes try to write middle grade fiction. Usually, though, I’m just watching TV, cooking, or reading middle grade or YA fiction. (I’m in a bookclub with grownups. They make me read grownup books sometimes.) I once took two years off of teaching to work in an independent bookstore in Brooklyn, where I was in charge of all the children’s events. I met a lot of cool children’s book writers and illustrators. It was nice. I recommend it.
